February Favorites!

HIGHLIGHTER: Dior Amber Diamond. In the Winter my skin always looks so "blah", but this wonderful highlighter makes me look alive. Well worth the money!

PERFUME: Vera Wang Lovestruck. Such a girly fragrance.

BLUSH: I've been addicted to blush lately so I have a few that I've been switching between this Month.
First up I've been enjoying both Cubic & Dame from my MAC Pro Palette

Next up is NARS Angelika. From looking at this blush in the pan it looks a bit scary because it's filled with glitter. Once applied the glitter seems to disappear & leaves my cheeks with a natural sheen. Just make sure to powder your cheeks before applying this blush.

EYESHADOW: Ever since I got the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette it's the only thing I reach for. It's perfect for creating an everyday look as well as a night time look.

MASCARA: Maybelline The Rocket is one of those Mascaras that I wan't too crazy about at first, but after about 5 uses it started to dry a bit & now I'm really liking the formula.

LIPSTICK: MAC Angel is one of those lipsticks that I can wear everyday no matter what eyeshadow or blush I wear. This is one that I will keep in my collection.

MAC blush comparison Pinch O' Peach VS. Pink Swoon

Pinch O' Peach *Warm Peach*

Pink Swoon *Clearly Pink*

Both are sheertones so the color can be built up to meet your needs.
For me two swipes is good enough.

In the pan both of these colors look alot alike. I have to flip the container over to notice the difference. Once swatched the difference is very noticeable.
Pinch O' Peach is pink with a hint of peach. In mu opinion this shade could work year round.
I originally wanted both "Mata Hari" & "Angelika" from NARS but after doing a ton of searching I saw swatches comparing those two with Pinch O' Peach. Mata Hari is the darkest of the three, Angelika is a little lighter than Mata Hari & has sparkle, while Pinch O' Peach is the lightest. Overall there all in the same color family & resemble each other a light, but for my fair skin I decided to go with MAC.
Pink Swoon is a pretty pink that can be used lightly for a baby pink or built up for a brighter pink that'll look amazing during the Summer.

I'll probably end up depotting these shades & getting another palette because there's a few more MAC blushes I want.

Yes I'm addicted to blush!

MAC Angel Lipstick & Lipglass *Swatches & My thoughts*

I finally got my hands on the well known "Angel". I decided to get the lipglass too.
I think this shade works perfectly for me & can be used as an everyday lip color that'll work with any eye makeup look.
The Lipglass is a bit sticky but I'm okay with  that.
Both products stay on my lips until I eat/drink.

Now I have a MAC lipstick wishlist:
Hue, Blankety, & Shygirl.

MAC blush pro palette swatches & reviews!

Top Row *Left to Right*:
Breath of plum, Cubic, Dame
Bottom Row *Left to Right*:
Melba, Mocha, Well Dressed
Yes I spelled "Breath of Plum" wrong on the above swatch =/

Breath of plum: Light Plum/ sheertone
This is my favorite blush out of this entire palette. Its a very pretty plumy pinkish shade that works perfectly for the Fall/ Winter Months. I was afraid that it was going to be too dark for my light skin tone but with a light hand this blush makes me look like I just stepped in from the cold. I also like the fact that its a sheertone so I don't have to worry about applying too much. I layered it twice for the perfect amount for my skin tone  I think this blush would look good on alot of skin tones.

Cubic: Soft muted pink/ satin
With Cubic I had to use a heavy hand to get it to look right. I think this shade would look good year round & also would work perfect for alot of different skin tones.

Dame: Sophisticated blue-pink/ satin
With Dame I also had to use a heavy hand (must be a satin thing). It's one of those shades of pink I would wear during any Season. I think Dame would look perfect paired with a smokey eye & nude lip.

Melba: Soft Coral-Peach/ Matte
Melba was one of those shades I wanted the moment I started seeing swatches of it. In the pan it's a pretty peachy color, but if applied two heavily (like the above swatch) it'll look very orange. The MUA at my local counter actually tried this one on me & I fell inlove! Unfortunately I need to look into a different blush brush for this one because my Real Techniques Blush Brush seems to pick up too much of this color & I end up looking like Snooki =(

Mocha: Soft Plum-Pink/ Matte
The name of this blush is very misleading. Usually when I think of Mocha I think of brown. This blush is nowhere near brown (good thing). Instead its a very pretty plumy pinky color. Kinda reminds me of "Breath of Plum" but lighter. I like the fact that it's Matte. This blush is also perfect for the colder Month's but could be worn year round. Looks perfect with a smokey brown eye look & a berry colored lip.

Well Dressed: Immaculate Pink/ Satin
I've heard so much about Well Dressed that I had to give it a try for myself. Well dressed is a light pink & my skin is light so on me it looks very natural & gives me a light glow. This is perfect for the Days that I don't wanna wear alot of makeup but still want to look put together. I think it can also be layered above other blushes to give off a highlight effect. In my opinion this blush is very versatile & can be used on alot of different skin tones. I've seen this on darker skin tones & it looks amazing!

I'm glad MAC offers the palettes to put the pans in. I find it easier to organize my blushes this way instead of having six bulky compacts in my makeup jar. The top cover seemed to get dirty quickly, but that's to be expected when it comes to makeup.

Which MAC lipstick/lip gloss shades would you suggest for me to try out?
I already have the well known "Angel" on my wishlist.

MAC Pro Longwear Foundation & MSF powder reviews

First things first my skin is very oily & acne proned.
I have alot of acne scars & my skin is currently at its worst.

With that being said lets move on to the reviews...

Pro Longwear Foundation claims to last up to 15 hours & while I haven't worn my makeup for that long I can tell you that it does last until I wash it off (around 10 hours).  At the end of the Day my makeup looks the same way it did when I first applied it. That's without a primer & setting spray. I've read alot of reviews comparing  Pro Longwear to Revlon's Colorstay. Since I've tried both I thought I'd give my two cents as well. I find that colorstay dries really fast making it hard to blend but with pro longwear I haven't had that problem. Pro Longwear is a bit thick in texture & can be layered. I use two pumps for full coverage & it makes my skin look flawless. I have to use Benefit's POREfessional on my cheeks & Hard Candy's glamoflauge with this foundation. This foundation hasn't broken my skin out. It is on the pricey side but it comes with a pump & actually works good for my skin so I will probably repurchase it.

Mineralize skinfinish powder is now my favorite powder & will be one that I will continually repurchase. I just swipe a small layer all over my face to set my foundation. It controls oil really well & also adds a little more coverage. It helps make my skin look flawless & doesn't create that cakey look that some powders do.

Overall I'm glad I finally gave in & picked up these two products!

I will post swatches & mini reviews of my blush palette soon.
I still have 3 blushes to try.
