clear glosses feat. Wet N Wild & Jordana

I won both of this lip glosses from Allure during the August Month long giveaways. I figured it was past time to finally talk about them.

Wet N Wild:
- no scent
-squeeze tube
- not sticky
Overall I like the formula, but not a big fan of the packaging.

Jordana
-Yummy Watermelon scent
- Very sticky. Makes my hair stick to my lips. I hate that!
- doe foot applicator
Overall I like the packing & scent, but dislike how sticky it is.

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick

On my latest visit to CVS I decided to check out the makeup section to see what I could find on sale. I ended up finding these for 75% off, making them 2.50 a piece. This is my first time trying the colorburst lipstick. Revlon makes great lip products so I was sure I wouldn't be disappointed.
Icy Nude, Soft Rose, Carnation, & Petal

.

Once again Revlon as proved to make the best drugstore lip products. I really like these lipsticks. Very pigmented, not drying, & lasts until I eat or drink. Overall I'm very happy I finally decide to pick these up.

Maybelline shinesensational lipgloss

I got these at CVS for 50% off. So a little over $3 each.

PRODUCT DETAILS

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT

So luscious, so glassy, so yummy:
• Luscious shine, delectable feel
• Comfortable, non-sticky, moisturizing, high-shine formula
• 18 different yummy flavors and fragrances

FOR BEST RESULTS

Apply Shine Sensational™ Lipgloss alone or over your favorite lipcolor. For a fun twist, try mixing and matching shades to create your own flavor and fragrance.

What I think?
-The scent fits the names, but it doesn't last long which could be a major plus to anyone who is sensitive to scents
-Not sticky. Nothing is worse than having your hair stick to your lips due to your gloss. These don't do that.
-Gives a slight tint, but nothing drastic.
-Lasts about an hour before coming off (unless you eat or drink)
- Gives a nice shine.

Revlon Super lustrous lip balm

ABOUT REVLON LIMITED EDITION SUPER LUSTROUS LIP BALM
Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Balm provides a gorgeous tint of color, delicious moisture and sun protection with SPF 15. No more messy fingers with lip brush included inside the cap! Available for a limited time only in 3 shades: Pink Crystal, Peach Crystal, and Clear Crystal.

 Brush included!

The colors looks so pretty inside the container, but once applied it's extremely sheer. No color payoff at all. The brush was a nice touch, but I honestly find that these apply better if I use my finger. These have a Watermelon scent. Smells really yummy but the scent fades almost immediately. They are a bit moisturizing but it's nothing spectacular & it doesn't last long so these have to be reapplied often. I also saw that these retail for 10 bucks, which is insane. Overall I like the packing, but not the product formula.

Note: I won these  two lip balms in a giveaway.

L'oreal False Fiber Lashes *REVIEW*

- Clump-free, Flake-free, Smudge-free, Fragrance free.
All of the above items are true when describing this mascara.  I had ZERO clumps, it didn't flake, I slept with it on & it didn't even smudge, & there's no strong/weird scent to it.
- Ophthalmologist & allergy tested.
I have sensitive eyes & this mascara didn't cause me to cry. Big plus!
-Suitable for sensitive eyes & contact lens wearers.
I don't wear contacts so I can't comment on that part, but once again I have sensitive eyes & this didn't cause my eyes to cry and burn.

I really like the tube. The gold stands out in my mascara collection
The brush has a bit of a "bend" to it.
"...our lash sculpting fiber formula adheres to lashes for a volumized, sculpted lash effect. Lashes appear fuller, longer, sculpted, and curled at every angle.
Okay first of all this mascara did a wonderful job at curling my lashes & holding the curl all day long. NO CURLER REQUIRED!
My lashes did appear to be a bit fuller and longer, but it didn't "wow" me.
The ad's for this mascara show the model with wonderful looking lashes that so say you can get from using this mascara, but it didn't turn mine like that. Now I know all companies use false lashes when advertising their mascaras. Which I think should stop, because all we're doing is getting our hopes up and spending money on products that we hope will work as good as they claim.
Okay now that I'm done venting I will state what I like about it:
Holds curl
no clumping
doesn't smudge
no strong scent
doesn't tear up my eyes
Now if only my lashes would appear to be 5x longer & fuller I would love this mascara.

Something else I wanted to cover. There is alot of talk going around that L'oreal tests on animals. Please read this statement:

disclosure: I won this product via L'oreal's facebook page.

Urban Decay Naked eyeliner set *review*

Included in the Naked 24/7 Travel-Size Set of 5Bourbon (brown w/gold sparkle), Demolition (matte dark brown), Stray Dog (shimmery greyish brown), Underground (metallic taupe), Zero (zealous black)

My thoughts:
Glides on easily & highly pigmented
However, on two different occasions I applied it to my waterline & it only took 2 hours before it started to smear and fade. So I would only wear these to line my top lashes. I e-mailed Urban Decay about the problem I had with using them on my waterline & this is what I was told...

"Depending on how oily your skin gets is how long the 24/7 pencils will last on your skin. To prevent it from getting oily please use any of our De-Slick line or Primer Potions before applying your makeup and this will help the liners from moving or smudging. You can always finish off your makeup with the setting spray as well."

I'm not too thrilled about having to use another item on my waterline being that I'm scared my sensitive eyes will have an allergic reaction so I will just have to use these for the top lashes. So once again I'm on the hunt for the perfect liner to use on my waterline that will last more than a couple hours. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks!

Benefit "one prime day" *REVIEW*

Retails for $10 at Sephora which I think is a great deal. The items are small, but you get to try them out before buying the larger, more expensive versions.

What it does: via Sephora.com
This set of mini primers will set your makeup and have you looking perpetually pretty no matter what the situation. "That Gal" face primer smooths on a brighter complexion, The POREfessional PRO balm minimizes the appearance of pores and fine lines, and dual-action Stay Don't Stray eye primer locks on concealer and eye shadow for all-day wear.

That Gal brightening face primer gave me a natural glow. I really liked the results of my makeup from using this. I had a dewy finish, but it wasn't too oily looking. I highly recommend giving this a try.

The porefessional- Pro balm to minimize the appearance of pores.
I didn't see any difference in my skin while using this product. My pores still looked the same.
This is the only item in the set I didn't really like.

Stay Don't Stray really surprised me. I didn't think it would work as good as it did. A little goes a long way with this primer. I applied a little dot to each lid then blended it into my lid and up into my browbone. Well I did my makeup Friday afternoon, went run a few errands, came home washed all my makeup off except for my eyes. I left my shadow on over night because I wanted to see how good this stuff is. Well the next morning I woke up & my shadow was still on. I mean it wasn't still perfectly, the colors blended into each other, but it was still there! I think I found my HG primer.

Naked 2 Palette - pic heavy

 I love the packaging.

Foxy, Half Baked, Bootycall, Chopper, Tease
 Chopper, Tease, Snakebite, Suspect
 Snakebite, Suspect, Pistol, Verve, YDK
 Pistol, Verve, YDK, Busted, Blackout

 Love this palette!

Original Naked & Naked 2
My Thoughts:
Both Palettes feature "half baked" which I don't mind because that's one of my favorite shadows. Some of the shades are similar, but I'm a neutral shadow lover so I happy to have both palettes. The mirror is bigger, which I really like.  I love the lasting ability of these shadows & how pigmented they are. Overall Urban Decay has really shocked me. I can now say I like higher end makeup.

I like the color of this gloss, but can't get over how minty it is. The smell is a bit overpowering.

I can't really review the brush just yet because I haven't tried it. I don't find it to be as soft as my Sigma brushes.

My review of Sigma's E25, E45, E70, & E55

The E25 blending brush was free with my purchase & I'm really glad they sent me this one. I use it to apply darker shades to my crease. It applies easily & blends all in one. The only downside is after washing this brush the hairs seemed to go a little crazy, but overall It still works great.

The E45 is the Small tapered blending brush. I use this to blend my lid color into my crease & then to blend my highlight color. This brush is truly amazing! Works way better than the one I had from ELF. Held up to a wash just find & still looks brand new.

The E70 Medium angled shading works great for the browbone/highlighting. I love that this brush picks up enough product to get the job done. Held up to a washing.

The E55 shading brush is great for applying color to the lid. Picks up enough color where you can fill your entire lid with just one swipe, unless your going for a darker/heavier look. I also use this to aad darker shadow to my crease. Works great at fitting perfectly into my crease & also the outer "v" area. Held up to a washing.

Overall I'm very satisfied with these brushes & can see the difference that quality brushes make in the application of makeup.
Can you believe a couple years ago I didn't think I needed brushes, I would just use those sponges that came with the shadows. I've come along way!

my review of the Sigma F05

This brush works great for contouring my nose, jawbone, & cheeks. Also works great at applying blush. I find that it does a great job at perfectly blending the makeup into my skin. Some blush/contour brushes had too much product to the skin causing me to look like a clown, but this brush is amazing. Once again I'm extremely happy with Sigma. The brush is really soft & fluffy. No shedding & holds up after cleaning it.

Small Contour- F05
Ideal to apply, blend or contour powder products. Softly rounded dome tip smoothly blends color into the face.

My review of the Sigma F80

How does it work with Foundation?
I used it for the first time Yesterday & fell in love! This brush applied my foundation evenly & helped offer more coverage, because the foundation stayed on top instead of soaking into the brush. It didn't apply streaky. This brush was so easy to use on the small areas of my face (nose and under my eyes). I didn't have any shedding. I used it with my Revlon Phototeady. Since this foundation as a pump it was easy to apply it straight to the sponge and then onto my face. Super easy & quick

How does it compare to a traditional sponge/wedge?
for as long as I've been wearing makeup I always used a sponge to apply my foundation. After using my brush I realized that the sponge soaks up alot of foundation causing alot of product waste. With the brush there is no waste. My skin is very acne prone so after using my sponge once I would throw it away. That equals alot of money spent on sponges. The brush is only 16 bucks and can be washed after each use. So all in all having this brush will save me money. I won't have to worry about buying sponges & I won't waste any foundation.

How to clean the brush:
Yesterday after doing my makeup I cleaned my brush with the Sephora brand brush cleaner & it worked really well. My brush didn't lose it's shape or softness. Came out clean & didn't really take long to dry.

A package from Aussie & review of "Spray Gloss"

After reviewing hair insurance
I received a nice package from a wonderful lady from Aussie.

A cute little Aussie stuffed animal, my daughter loves stuffed animals & her favorite color is purple so of course this went to her. A nice hand written note, another bottle of hair insurance, & a bottle of Spray Gloss.

SPRAY GLOSS

DITCH THE DULLNESS

Spray Gloss polishes off your style with a light shine that’s never sticky. What a bright idea!
What Do I think?
I love it! Leaves my hair with a natural shine. I sprayed it in my hair after flat ironing it & was amazed at how wonderful it worked. It didn't make my hair look or feel oily. My hair was much softer after spraying this. & the smell oh my.. its lovely! If your hair is on the dull side & you wanna add some life to it then I suggest giving this a try!
