Holiday Mani: Red & Green glitter #1

I already had  Zoya "Storm" on my nails from Yesterday's post 

so I decided to add 1 coat of the red & green glitter snowman polish.

I have a few more Mani's planned for this glitter polish :)

Winter Wonderland mani

Sorry for all the posts Today. I did a little Walgreens hauling this morning & wanted to share everything before I forgot. 

This is the last post for Today. I promise =)

What I used:

2 coats of Zoya's "Kristen" & 1 light coat of Sinful Colors "Ice Dream"

P.S. I heard that Ice Dream is an almost exact dupe for China Glazes "Lorelei'sTiara"

Game Day nails: Purple & Gold

1 coat of Zoya "Carly" & 1 coat of Sinful Colors "All about you"

 2 coats of Zuza with 1 coat of Frida on top.

 Zoya Nail Polish in Aurora can be best described as a full coverage, medium sugarplum purple flecked with a high concentration of micro fine diamond holographic glitter. The rainbow holographic sparkle turns this plum purple into something truly captivating.

Blaze

 Zoya Nail Polish in Blaze can be best described as a full coverage, cool-toned medium mulberry red with a high concentration of micro fine diamond holographic glitter. The multidimensional holographic glitter adds complexity and depth to this vampy red.

Final thoughts:

-Both applied very easily & only took two coats.

-Up close it looks like I could of used a third coat for Aurora, but it person it looks perfect in two coats.

-My camera always does a horrible job at photographing red polishes. So for Blaze the description & picture of the bottle is completely accurate. This reminds me of the perfect Mani color for Christmas Day.

New Years Kiss consists of both thin and thicker sized bar glitter mixed with silver holo micro glitter.

Zoya Gloss Collection- Swatches & Review

Frida

Zoya nail polish in Frida can be best described as: A sheer, dark, warm-toned teal blue with a buildable jelly gloss finish. The jelly gloss formula can be worn alone or layered to create an endless variety of custom colors and effects

My thoughts: 

Took four coats. Even though I did 4 thin coats & waited a couple minutes in between coats this one still came out streaky & a bit bubbly. Overall I think this polish will work better layered under or over other polishes.

Paloma

 Zoya nail polish in Paloma can be best described as: A sheer deep fuchsia-berry with a buildable jelly gloss finish. The jelly gloss formula can be worn alone or layered to create an endless variety of custom colors and effects

My Thoughts:

 I honestly don't see why this is classified as burgundy. It's clear that it's pink. I used four coats for this one as well. I didn't have problems like I did with Frida. I'm a bit disappointed because this polish is not like it was described or shown in the swatch on zoya.com

Katherine

 Zoya nail polish in Katherine can be best described as: A sheer, dark, red-toned aubergine, oxblood with a buildable jelly gloss finish. The jelly gloss formula can be worn alone or layered to create an endless variety of custom colors. Color originally created for fashion designer Peter Som.

My thoughts:

Used four coats just like the other two. I find this one also applied a bit streaky, but I really like the color so I will try to search for a different way of applying it. I also layered this one under a WNW polish so I will post that mani soon.

Zoya Shelby & Lara

Shelby: Soft but colorfulcherry blossom pink

 with an opaque cream finish. A light girly pink with enough tint to keep it from looking pastel or washed out.

 Shelby Reminds me alot of Zoya's "Barbie". Shelby is a tiny bit darker than Barbie.

Took 2 coats & applied easily.

 Lara:  Medium magenta-rose pink with subtle yellow undertone and a soft cream finish. 

A soft shade, but with a candy-like pop of color to ensure that it doesn't look flat.

 2 coats & easy application.

I think both of these shades are such pretty shades of pink that any girly girl would love to have in her collection.

Zoya Wednesday

 Faded dirty medium turquoise with green undertone and an opaque cream finish.

 A very stylish shade with a funky yet easy to wear vintage look.

Zoya's Meg & Myrta

I finally have the last two colors from Zoya's Surf Collection! 

Here is Meg & Myrta.

(Both were done with 2 coats)

 Light yellow-toned mermaid green with heavy gold and silver metallic shimmer and a sparkling foil finish.

 Warm medium orange coral with red undertone, gold and silver metallic shimmer, and a foil-like finish

Overall I really liked all the colors from this collection.

 I still need to get Mryta & Meg to complete the collection.

Carly was opaque in one coat but I went with two.
Zuza was sheer with one coat & required a second coat.

I love carly! I've been on the search for a dark purple polish for a year now 

& I finally found one that stole my heart.

I know my cuticles are horrible right now. To be honest I've polished my nails so much in the pass week to the point where when polish remover hits my cuticles they feel like they're on fire. I need to take a break from polish & use a nail strengthener.

I have beauty products to review next week. 

I don't want to bore anyone with all these polish posts. =)-

Zoya: Rory

This is the second polish I got from Zoya's Summer 2012 Collection. 

The other one I have is Kimber. Both are from the "Surf" collection.
