MAC Pro Longwear Foundation & MSF powder reviews
First things first my skin is very oily & acne proned.
I have alot of acne scars & my skin is currently at its worst.
With that being said lets move on to the reviews...
Pro Longwear Foundation claims to last up to 15 hours & while I haven't worn my makeup for that long I can tell you that it does last until I wash it off (around 10 hours). At the end of the Day my makeup looks the same way it did when I first applied it. That's without a primer & setting spray. I've read alot of reviews comparing Pro Longwear to Revlon's Colorstay. Since I've tried both I thought I'd give my two cents as well. I find that colorstay dries really fast making it hard to blend but with pro longwear I haven't had that problem. Pro Longwear is a bit thick in texture & can be layered. I use two pumps for full coverage & it makes my skin look flawless. I have to use Benefit's POREfessional on my cheeks & Hard Candy's glamoflauge with this foundation. This foundation hasn't broken my skin out. It is on the pricey side but it comes with a pump & actually works good for my skin so I will probably repurchase it.
Mineralize skinfinish powder is now my favorite powder & will be one that I will continually repurchase. I just swipe a small layer all over my face to set my foundation. It controls oil really well & also adds a little more coverage. It helps make my skin look flawless & doesn't create that cakey look that some powders do.
Overall I'm glad I finally gave in & picked up these two products!
I will post swatches & mini reviews of my blush palette soon.
I still have 3 blushes to try.

Holiday Mani: Red & Green glitter #2
For this Mani I used 3 coats of Sinful Colors "Snow Me White".
Lets just say I hate this polish..
it was so streaky that I had to use 3 coats & after that it was gooey :(
1 coat of the Snowman Glitter was used.
I'll call this my Christmas Cupcake Mani
Overall I'm not happy with this mani because of the white polish.
I wanted to share it with you ladies anyway. Sorry for it looking so messy.
Can anyone suggest a good white polish?
pretty please :)
Holiday Mani: Red & Green glitter #1
I already had Zoya "Storm" on my nails from Yesterday's post
so I decided to add 1 coat of the red & green glitter snowman polish.

Sheer Floral
Sheer Floral
Middle Notes: Black Lilac, White Peony, Karo-Karounde Blossoms, Baie Rose, Pink Rose, Jasmine

My Thoughts:
Even though this is a floral scented perfume its not overpowering. It's a very clean scent that I like to wear on days that I'm in a relaxed mood. The scent lasts on my for about 5 hours.
I picked up this perfume at Ulta using a 20% off coupon & also got a free robe.
Michael Kors Very Hollywood perfume

Dove Purely pampering nourishing body wash
(Coconut milk with jasmine petals)
Only have 10 minutes to pamper yourself?
Well give this a try!
I don't think I can ever go back to another body wash. It literally feels like I'm showering with lotion. It's so creamy, thick, & moisturizing. I have no need to apply lotion after I shower. The smell is also amazing!
Any body wash that doesn't dry out my skin is definitely a keeper.
Other Scents:
Shea Butter with Warm Vanilla
Almond cream with Hibiscus
*Can't wait to try these two scents*
Pond's Luminous Clean Wet Cleansing Towelettes
These have quickly become my favorite wipes. Out of all the one's I've tried these are by far the best.
Removes all my makeup, even waterproof mascara.
The towelettes are very moist & has a wonderful scent.
Didn't cause my acne prone skin to breakout.
Contains 30 wipes for about $6

NOTD: Snowman polishes! +Comparison
I finally found these little cuties at my local Rite Aid.
I picked up 3 & will feature the 3rd one in an upcoming Mani.
These don't have names.
I used two coats of the pinkish shade & 1 coat of the glitter.
If I was going to use the pink shade alone I would've of went with a 3rd coat.
(Right click to enlarge)
Comparison Time:
(Sinful colors Frenzy vs Snowman)
In the bottle these two look almost identical.
Once swatched on paper I noticed that snowman polish has a blue base while Frenzy has a clear base. Frenzy also seems to have more of a magneta glitter while Snowman has more of a deeper purple glitter. Sinful Colors polishes run at $1.99 for a bigger bottle while Snowman was $2.99 & is a small bottle.

Beauty Blogger Headquarters
How long have you been blogging?
I started February 2011. Started off wanting to do a home decor blog but it turned into a beauty blog.
I started February 2011. Started off wanting to do a home decor blog but it turned into a beauty blog.
What/who inspired you to start blogging?
I was looking online for beauty products reviews & from there I decided I should start reviewing my own products.
Did you tell your family and friends about your blog? If so, what was their reaction? Are they supportive or "in the dark" about your blogging?
The only person that knows about my blog is my husband. He thinks it's cool, he actually understands my love for makeup and nail polish. lol
What goals or dreams did you have for your blog when you started? Have you accomplished them?
I just wanted to have fun. It was never about having a large amount of followers. I thought I would only have 10! But I'm past that so I would say yes my goal has been accomplished.
If you could give your beginner-blogger-self one tip of advice, what would it be?
Just be yourself & blog about what you love.
What is your favorite and least favorite thing about being a blogger?
Favorite- I get to interact with other fellow beauty fiends.
Least- My camera sometimes doesn't give the best quality in my pictures.
What does your blog name mean? How did you decide on it?
It went from "Life as A Southern Girl" to "Life as A Southern GIrly Girl".
I was going to do posts about home decor, cooking, & my life. But ended up changing my mind so I'm currently wanting to change the name of my blog to something that actually represents what my blog is about.
Winter Wonderland mani
Sorry for all the posts Today. I did a little Walgreens hauling this morning & wanted to share everything before I forgot.
This is the last post for Today. I promise =)
What I used:
2 coats of Zoya's "Kristen" & 1 light coat of Sinful Colors "Ice Dream"
P.S. I heard that Ice Dream is an almost exact dupe for China Glazes "Lorelei'sTiara"
Kristen by herself.
Festive nails: Red & Silver
Perfect Christmas Day mani.
(on my accent nail the silver kinda bunched up on the right corner. Next time I will have to wait longer in between coats)
What I used:
2 coats of Wet N Wilds " I red a good book" with 1 coat of Sinful Colors "Queen of Beauty".
Accent nail is two coat of "Queen of Beauty"
Game Day nails: Black & Gold
I like the way my nails looked in the sunlight.
Overall I wasn't happy with the black polish I used. It was very runny & made a mess.
Once I applied the glitter to my middle finger the tip messed up :(
What I used:
Sinful Colors "All about you"
Wet N Wild's "Flossy Flossy"
Sinful Colors "Black on Black"
